Welcome to SAU73

The Gilford Schools make up a public school system supported by the community of Gilford, New Hampshire. Our schools provide educational services for approximately 1150 students in kindergarten through grade 12. The district is comprised of a grade K-4 elementary school, grade 5-8 middle school and grade 9-12 high school. Students from the neighboring community of Gilmanton also attend our high school. School district services and the Superintendent of School's offices are located at 2 Belknap Mountain Road.

Our district and its staff have earned an outstanding reputation for offering quality programs and an education to students of all ages and abilities. Gilford High School has been accredited by the New England Association of Secondary Schools and Colleges.

    GES Closed this Monday, September 16th

    As some of you know we have had plumbing issues at Gilford Elementary School this past Thursday and Friday.  

    We have had to turn the water off both afternoons because the toilets would not stop running which drained our holding tanks and could have burned out our pumps.  Because of these issues we will be closing Gilford Elementary School on Monday, September 16th so that the problem can be resolved.  We will provide an update Monday afternoon

    I know this impacts families and I apologize for this inconvenience, but we must resolve this issue.

    Again Gilford Elementary School will be closed Monday, September 16th to all students and staff.
